5. GPS and Location Tracking

GPS tracking is only enabled during active sessions with explicit sitter consent. Parents can view real-time location to ensure child safety. Location data is retained only as needed for the session.

We take child safety seriously. All sitters undergo background checks. A child's personal information (date of birth, school, allergies, schedule) is visible only to the child's parent and to a sitter with a confirmed booking, and every access is recorded in an audit log. We collect only the children's information needed to provide safe care.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Rocket Sitter is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly create accounts for, market to, or collect information directly from children under 13. The only children's information on the platform is information a parent or legal guardian chooses to provide about their own child for the purpose of arranging care — for example a child's first name, date of birth, school, and allergies. By providing this information you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian and consent, under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), to our collection and use of it solely to deliver childcare services. You may review, update, or delete your child's information at any time from your account, and deleting your account removes it. We never use children's information for advertising and never share it beyond the booked sitter as described in Section 4.
