By accessing or using Rocket Sitter, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Platform Description

Rocket Sitter is a platform connecting parents with childcare providers. We facilitate connections and provide tools for booking, payment, and communication. We are not a childcare provider and do not employ sitters.

3. User Eligibility

To use Rocket Sitter, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• If a parent, be the parent or legal guardian of any child you add to your account
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Background Checks (Sitters)

All sitters must undergo and pass a background check before providing childcare services. Background checks include criminal history, sex offender registry, and identity verification. Sitters must maintain valid certifications (CPR, First Aid) as represented.

5. Parent Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about your children's needs, allergies, and medical conditions
• Communicate special instructions clearly
• Be reachable during booking sessions in case of emergency
• Pay sitters promptly according to agreed rates
• Treat sitters with respect and professionalism

6. Sitter Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive, and professional childcare
• Arrive on time and honor confirmed bookings
• Follow parent instructions and respect household rules
• Maintain current certifications and background checks
• Provide regular updates during sessions
• Report any incidents or concerns immediately

7. Payments and Fees

Parent Plans: Browse for Free ($0), Core Booking ($10.99/month), Full Access ($14.99/month or $139/year)

Sitter Plans: Professional Profile ($35 one-time background check fee), optional Sitter Boost ($4.99/week)

Sitters keep 100% of their hourly rate. Platform fees are separate from childcare payments. All payments are processed securely through our payment processor.

8. Booking and Cancellation

Bookings are confirmed when both parties accept. Cancellations must follow our cancellation policy. In case of emergencies, contact the other party immediately.

9. GPS Tracking and Live Updates

GPS tracking is optional and requires sitter consent. Location data is only shared during active sessions. Photos and activity updates are shared at the sitter's discretion.

10. Prohibited Conduct

• Provide false or misleading information
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees
• Share account credentials with others
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose

11. Limitation of Liability

Rocket Sitter is a platform connecting users. We do not employ sitters or supervise childcare. We are not liable for actions, injuries, damages, or losses arising from childcare arrangements.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms. Users may close accounts at any time.
